About giclée/Epson prints

Giclée and Epson prints are both printed on the Epson printer. Giclée (pronounced "gee-clay") is French for fine spray and is what we call our prints imaged to fine art media which includes smooth and rough fine art papers and canvas. We have selected Epson's Ultra Chrome Inks and Epson's Smooth & Rough Fine Art Papers and 100% acid free medium gloss cotton canvas* to produce what we believe are the finest giclée prints to be found. We are offering two photo materials; Photo Lustre and Premium Semi-Matte. The Epson and giclée categories are priced separately since the media cost is substantially different. Our paper/ink combinations are extremely stable and appear to have a functional life approaching 150 years. We refer you to Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc., (www.wilhelm-research.com) a respected and foremost authority on prints longevity characteristics.

Another crucial ingredient in this fine art print mix is the aesthetic that we apply. We are photographers and artists as well as technicians and we offer you many years of image making experience. We are associated with many of the finest image-makers working today and we are committed to very high standards.

Epson/giclée prints are best preserved under UV glass, kept out of direct sunlight and handled with care. We suggest viewing Epson/giclée prints with halogen light for optimal print appearance.

Maximum size for Epson Prints: 43x83

* Epson papers are manufactured by the Crane Paper Mill the oldest mill in the United States. Crane's new line of paper is designed specifically for fine art digital printmaking. Made from 100% cotton, using naturally pH-neutral, with Artesian well water the high-quality cotton and careful manufacturing results in a lush, exceptional feel.
